This privacy policy describes how Volume Pro (âthe app,â âwe,â âusâ) handles information when you install and use the application distributed through the Microsoft Store and related channels.
Summary
Volume Pro is designed to analyze and normalize the loudness of audio and video files on your device. We do not sell your personal information. Media you add to the app is processed locally on your computer using tools bundled with the app (including FFmpeg). Output files are saved to locations you choose. We do not operate a cloud service that receives your media files.
Information the app processes
Depending on how you use the app, the following may be processed on your device:
- Audio and video files you select or add via drag-and-drop, including file names and paths.
- Derived output files created when you normalize or convert media (for example, files with an optional
_VP-##suffix). - Playback and analysis data used to preview media and measure loudness (LUFS) in the preview pane.
- App settings (output formats, LUFS target, replace-original and suffix options, and similar preferences) stored locally on your PC.
We do not require you to create an account to use Volume Pro.
Information we collect
We do not intentionally collect personal information such as your name, email address, or the contents of your media files through the app itself.
The app does not include third-party advertising or analytics in the current release.
Optional communications
If you contact us by email (for example, at admin@thesoftwarebodega.com), we receive the information you send (such as your email address and message content) so we can respond.
Third-party components
Volume Pro uses FFmpeg (and related executables) locally to read, analyze, and encode media. FFmpeg runs on your computer as part of the app; we do not send your files to FFmpegâs developers or to us for processing.
When you obtain the app through the Microsoft Store, Microsoft may collect usage, diagnostics, and purchase-related information under Microsoftâs privacy statement. That collection is governed by Microsoft, not by us.
How we use information
We do not use your media content or personal information for marketing profiles. Any support email you send is used only to provide support or improve the product based on your request.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may disclose information only if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
Data retention
Your source and output media files remain on your device until you delete them. App settings remain on your device until you uninstall the app or reset preferences. Support emails are retained only as long as needed for support and business records.
Security
Media and settings stay on your device under your control. Use device login, disk encryption, and careful file-sharing practices to protect content you process with the app.
Childrenâs privacy
Volume Pro is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
- Choose which files to add and process.
- Control output location and whether originals are replaced.
- Delete input or output files at any time.

International users
If you use the app outside the United States, your information may be processed on your local device and, if you email us, in the United States where our support is handled.

We may update this policy from time to time. The âLast updatedâ date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
